Oakleaf's American Beauty

Our friend Justin Peregoy at Oakleaf created this refreshing cocktail for his series of cocktail classes.  This one is perfect for drinking on the porch in springtime.

American Beauty

Prep Time 2 minutes

Ingredients

1.5 oz Fair Game Apple Brandy.

5 oz Strawberry Shrub.

5 oz Dolin Dry Vermouth.

25 oz Verjus

Instructions

Stir all ingredients in a mixing glass & strain into a martini glass. Garnish with orange peel and fresh lavender to serve.

Recipe Notes

Verjus is a sour, acidic juice made from pressing the juice from unripe grapes, and, in France, is commonly used as an alternative to vinegar.  Learn how to make verjus here.
